Wowlu Catering Services embodies a quintessential success story; having gone beyond its humble beginnings, driven by the passion and hard work of its progenitors and typified by continuing excellence and reliable quality.

Originally named Wow-Lu Lugawan, Wowlu was founded in March 1985 by the entrepreneur spouses Mariano and Josefa Cruz. At its onset, Wow-Lu Lugawan was an unostentatious cluster of nipa huts in suburban Cainta, Rizal offering the standard fare of lugaw, sotanghon, tap-si-log and halo-halo, among others. In August 1985, the Cruz Spouses offered Wow-Lu to German Geronimo, Josefa's nephew, and his wife Marichu, as a source of income for the newly wedded couple. Subsequently, a lease (with option to purchase) agreement was agreed upon, with the Mr. and Mrs. Geronimo reserving the rights to operate Wow-Lu as their own enterprise.

With Mr. and Mrs. Geronimo at the helm, Wow-Lu developed as among the premier business establishments in Cainta, Rizal. By 1989, a testament to Wow-Lu's progressive movement, another branch was opened. In the early 1990s, having gained full ownership of the enterprise and the land on which the original branch, the Geronimo spouses undertook a massive renovation project which saw Wow-Lu's premises transformed into a fully concrete building / complex that housed the renamed Wowlu Restaurant, two function rooms, office spaces, a small warehouse, a kitchen for large scale cookery and the residence of the Geronimo Family.

In 1993, Wowlu embarked on rendering catering services. Its first foray in food catering was upon the invitation of Assumption Antipolo (where the Geronimos' daughter was then in pre-school) for Mrs. Geronimo to provide 950 packs of food for a pre-school activity, as well as food served buffet-style for 650 persons for a high school event. From there, Wowlu's catering services were contracted by Mr. and Mrs. Geronimo's friends at Couples for Christ, various church ministries, and other civic organizations with which they had been affiliated. In 1998, Wowlu was invited to be the exclusive food service provider for MERALCO's local offices in Cainta. By the early 2000s the smaller of the two function rooms had to be reconfigured to form part of Wowlu's kitchen so as to accommodate immense orders. At around the same period, Wowlu started offering internship opportunities to Hotel and Restaurant Management students of the University of Rizal System (URS), thus proving itself a suitable training ground for students undergoing professional training in the food service industry. In 2005, Wowlu was offered exclusive rights to provide food services and cater to all events of Cainta Catholic College. From a workforce of twelve, Wowlu now provides employment to as much as a hundred personnel. Also, from employing a locally assembled utility vehicle in its deliveries, Wowlu now has a fleet of motorcycles, several light vehicles / vans and one 20-foot truck. In January 2008, Wowlu was reorganized from a single proprietorship into a corporate entity.

To date, Wowlu counts as among its clients, Procter & Gamble, Wyeth, The Medical City, Coca-Cola Bottlers Philippines, and Invida Philippines; government entities like the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), and the National Anti-Poverty Commission; religious congregations and institutions like the Diocese of Antipolo, the Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines, the Salesian Society of St. John Bosco, and the Scalabrini Missionaries. It has catered events in premier institutions of higher learning such as the University of the Philippines, Ateneo de Manila University, University of Santo Tomas, and other academic institutions like La Salle Green Hills, Don Bosco Technical College, St. Scholastica's Academy, and Assumption Antipolo. Among its suppliers are Coca-Cola Bottlers Philippines and SYSU International.

As a testament to the progressive and enterprising stance that has characterized it though its years, Wowlu continues to pursue excellence and quality in its products and services. With the promise of further advancement, Wowlu looks beyond its 27th year.
