FAQ's:

*What size shoe do I wear?

I don’t know, but you can check out the Vans web site or your nearest Vans store for sizing information. The styles of shoes that I use are Vans Classic Slip-on, Vans Canvas and Doll shoes.

*Where can I buy TAMBAYAN shoes?

https://www.facebook.com/angtambayans

*Where is the store located?

At the moment, the shoes are ONLY available ONLINE. You can order shoes by messaging us with your order(s) and please indicate the size(s) and the shipping address where to send the shoes.

We will get back to you with information where to deposit payment

*What’s the total cost of a pair of shoes?

1000 PHP. Here is a breakdown of the price:
500 deposit (this covers the cost of the shoes, plus tax and delivery)
500 which includes the artwork, shipping to anywhere in the Metro Manila, and delivery confirmation on your package (shipping insurance is optional).

*Can I give you my own shoes to paint on?

Yes, but I prefer ordering the shoes myself. If you do want to send me your own shoes, email me first. I need to make sure I can paint on that kind of shoe.

If I do use your shoe, you will only be charged for the artwork and shipping, so the total cost will be 650 PHP.

*How long will it take for me to get my shoes?

Once I’ve received the shoes, it usually takes 1-3 weeks for me to finish them and have them mailed to you. If you need them by a certain date, let me know and I can expedite the process.

*What can you paint on my shoes?

Almost anything. I prefer to do original artwork, that is to say, not copying other artists, album covers, licensed characters, etc. I am not a machine, after all. If you have a logo or specific image you want on your shoes, send me reference material with your order and I’ll incorporate it in your design.

A NOTE ON DESIGN IDEAS: You can send me any ideas you may have. This can be details about yourself, your interests, things you like, your hobbies, some colors you like or dislike, etc. Keep in mind that although I do make custom shoes for all different kinds of people, I do have a personal style. Check out the gallery to get an idea of how I design and paint before you decide to order from me.

*Will you make the same pair of shoes twice?

No, not ever. If you like a design that I have made before, I can make a similar pair for you, but they will not be identical. This keeps every pair of shoes unique, and it keeps me from getting bored.

*Is there anything you will not paint on shoes?

I will not copy other artists' work, unless it's an iconic pop-culture image or something of that nature. This rule can be stretched, but I generally do not copy original artwork.

Generally I do not paint portraits. If you'd like a portrait painted on your shoes, let me know and I will discuss it with you. There may be extra cost involved, due to the more difficult nature of painting portraits.

I am not a graffiti artist. If you want graffiti text on your shoes, I can either find a font online that mimics the look of graffiti, or you can send me some text to copy.

*Can I draw my own design for you to copy?

I would prefer that you leave the designing to me. I will, however, take a look at sketches you’ve done or any other design ideas you may have.

*Can you send me a sketch of your design before you paint my shoes?

Yes. Just let me know and I will send you some sketches and design ideas before I paint your shoes. I’m more than willing to work with you to make the perfect pair.

*What kind of paint do you use?

I prefer to keep my process under wraps. I will say that I paint all the designs by hand with small brushes and paint.

*Can my shoes get wet?

Yes. The paint will not wash off with regular use. You may also spot-clean them gently with a mild detergent. No bleaching chemicals because that's make the shoes yellowish.

*Is there some sort of guarantee?

With normal wear and tear, the paint on your shoes should last as long as the shoes themselves do. Yes, there will be a slight degradation of the paint over time (you're wearing them on your feet!), but overall the paint holds up pretty well. If you have a serious problem with cracking, peeling, or any other defects with the paint on the shoes, I will be more than willing to look at the problem and see if I can fix it. Thus far I have had no complaints. The best way to keep your shoes looking good is to treat them with respect!

*I live outside the Metro Manila, can I still order shoes?

Yes! E-mail me with your address and I'll give you a shipping quote.

*My question isn’t answered here. Can I ask you directly?

Certainly. E-mail me and I’ll be glad to answer your questions.
