Starbright Office Depot Inc.

STARBRIGHT OFFICE DEPOT, INC. first operated in General Santos City in 1983 as STARBRIGHT PAPER ENTERPRISES located along Santiago Boulevard, where its building is adjoining to Dadiangas Glass & Construction Depot, Inc. (A Subsidiary company of SOD).

It started with only fifteen (15) employees to entertain customers and to do other related works as a dealer of school and office supplies. From Sole Proprietorship, it was amended to Corporation in July 29, 2004 as STARBRIGHT OFFICE DEPOT, INC.

In January 2005, the store was transferred to its own building at Quirino Avenue, Barangay Dadiangas East, General Santos City. The new building is more conductive to customers since it is more spacious, tripled the area from the old building and a fully air-conditioned store.

Product offerings also widened, from basic school and office supplies needs, it augments to other supplies such as janitorial, furniture and fixtures, IT equipments and other basic groceries.

Striving to cater more of the Mindanaoans’ needs for our goods and services, the company stretched its reach and opened its second branch along Gensan Drive, Koronadal City (Marbel) in July 2007.

In 2008, another business was opened, JK SAFETY PLUS located at LSA Building, Zone 2, Bulua, Cagayan de Oro City. Their line of business is associated with Starbright Office Depot, dealing in various office and school supplies.

In April 2014, JK SAFETY PLUS re-opened its business to its new location at NHA Building, Kauswagan, Cagayan de Oro City as the newest and biggest store so far: STARBRIGHT OFFICE DEPOT, CAGAYAN DE ORO BRANCH.

Finally, Starbright Office Depot – Davao Branch, along V. Mapa Street on June 2010. The branches conveys the name of STARBRIGHT OFFICE DEPOT, still upholding the goals of the company. Despite the vast existence of competitors in the area, SOD-Davao is not alarmed because it competitively and fairly stands still in the market.
