Sta. Filomena Central School

Sta. Filomena Central School is often described as the "HEART OF NORTHEAST" of Iligan City. Just 8 kilometers away from the city. The school can easily be reached by a 15 minutes ride from the city proper.The school has an area of 2.5 hectares, and on the left side of the school facing the national highway is the Iligan City East High Schooland the barangay Hall of Sta. Filomena to the right side of the school is a road to Pryce Memorial Garden, which is located 500 meters uphill from the school itelf. Barangay Sta. Filomena is situated between barangays ACMAC to San Roque. formerly known as Northeast I-A Central School, established in 1921 by a gruop of concerned people was previously located near the seashore of Purook San Juan, specifically at the present site of Caltex Depot of this brgy with the first techer Mr. Halibas.

The school changed its name four times from the start of creation, in 1978 when the school had six grades in which is a requirement. In becoming a complete elementary school enrolment increased and the name of the school changeg into Northeast I-A Central School which was still under the North District.

The school is a center of learning basic education and is looked with the school's vision and mission.The development process of the school management generally happens within the school system in attainment of the goals or purpose, strategies and programs for achieving the school visio and mission, the schoolplanning and managemen team (SPMT) and the creation.
