Sta. Dorotea Academy

Sta. Dorotea Academy is non-sectarian private school founded in 1983. It was supervised by the National Federation of Women (NFWC). It offered only Pre-school which consists of Nursery and Kindergarten. It was recognized by the DECS in 1991 with the name, Infant Jesus Learning Center. In 1998, in response to the needs of providing quality education to the children, the school offered primary grades from grades I-III and eventually intermediate grades. The school later renamed to Sta. Dorotea Grade School. The Directress, Miss Dorothy G. Bautista, together with the teachers supervised and gave the best education for each child that the school cater.

In March 2002, the school held its first elementary graduation with only seven (7) graduates together with 50 pre-school graduates. Secondary course was also offered in 2003. The school was again renamed to Sta. Dorotea Academy (SDA).

SDA believes that in delivering quality education, addressing the needs and interests of the students, through committed and component teachers will foster higher learning outcomes.

At present, the school is supervised by a directress in the person of Ms. Dorothy G. Bautista as Mr. June S. Crimen the principal in pre-school, elementary and High School Department that started on school year 2003-2004. It has eighteen (18) teaching force and four (4) support staff
