St. Jerome Integrated School of Cabuyao

BRIEF HISTORY--

St. Jerome Integrated School of Cabuyao (SJIC) opened its door as a learning center in 1997. It offered kindergarten course and it has only a handful of 32 pupils. It is a family owned school. The owner and educator by profession, Mrs. Alicia O. Tolentino was the first teacher. The succeeding school years saw the opening of preparatory (1998-1999), Grade I (1999-2000) Grade II (2000-2001), Grade III (2001-2002), Grade IV (2002-2003), Grade V (2003-2004), Grade VI (2004-2009) , First year (2009-2010) , Second year (2010-2011) , Third year (2011-2012) , Fourth year (2012-2013).

The school was named after St. Jerome of Stridonium whose writings shine like a divine lamp in the whole world when he completed his translation of the Holy Scripture into Latin and wrote his commentary on the New Testament. He was the one who wrote, "Ignorance of Scripture is Ignorance of Christ" as his commentary on Isaiah. He was considered as the Doctor of Biblical Science. The school wants to follow the examples set by the saint such as being patient, calm, passionate, and having contentious intellect. He had a razor-sharp mind and his pen expressed evreything precisely.
