What is Early Intervention?

This pertains to services given to babies and toddlers under the age of 36 months who have been assessed by certified diagnostician such as developmental pediatricians.

Early Intervention programs are available to identity, to manage and to minimize any possibilities of long-term problems brought by developmental delay among young children.

The areas of developmental concerns as follows but may not be limited to the list below:

-Cognition: How the child drinks and learns?
-Physical development including vision and hearing
-LSC (Language, Speech and Communication)
-Social Interaction
-ADLs (self-help, hygiene, leisure)

STC offers:

-Occupational Therapy that promotes functional independence for children dealing with birth anomalies, disability, or developmental problems through purposeful age-appropriate activities.

-Speech Therapy provides treatment to individual grappling with communication problems may this be voice, fluency, language, and speech in nature.

-SPED designs an individualized programs to ensure that children with difficulties are provided a suitable academic and behavioral goals. They invite parents to initial screening and full participation in all phases of the process.
