South Hill School, Inc.

In January 1997, the school was founded to serve the growing Los Baños community. Its aim was to offer the best education possible for the children who will be brought under her care. South Hill School started from small beginnings – a two-storey building, a sandy playground, a small yet homey canteen and air-cooled classrooms. The school had big dreams and visions for the future and was determined to pursue them.

Years after, those dreams came to reality. It has developed facilities that cater to the needs of the students. The covered gymnasium allows children to have their PE classes and other activities rain or shine. A computer laboratory was set, allowing students to learn the basic computer and IT skills they need to keep up with the rapid technological advances of this age. Another two-storey building was built for the Technology and Home Economics Department, The Learning Resource Center, and the canteen. Gone is the sandy playground. A verdant lawn now covers the open space in the school’s quadrangle.

South Hill School now stands as one of the most prominent schools in Laguna. Most of the credit goes to the students who continue to garner awards from local, national and even international competitions they join in. The school takes pride in the high percentage of students passing the UPCAT (University of the Philippines College Admissions Test) and entrance tests of other prestigious universities. This proves that the school is indeed a melting pot of talented and skillful students –of artists, musicians, mathematicians, young scientists, and athletes. With much help from its team of competent and dedicated teachers, the school was able to nurture and produce quality individuals who have brought great pride and honor both to their alma mater and their community.
