ShipHaus

Shiphaus is a unique and spectacular simulation hotel and fondly described as Noah’s Ark of the New Generation. It was specially designed by its owner himself Capt. Gaudencio T. Dumapias who started the construction on the year 2006 and successfully completed and blessed on April 16, 2011.

Pleasing to the eyes of Madame Korina Sanchez of Rated K (the most viewed show in the country) she featured Shiphaus on July 10, 2011, entitled “NOON at NGAYON” which made SHIPHAUS popular. Eventually on this same date, the doors of Shiphaus were opened for boarding to local and foreign tourists and has become one of the known tourist spots in Bohol.

Another top channel, KAPUSO MO JESSICA SOJO REPORTS was also attracted and featured Shiphaus entitled “FLOATING HOUSE to solve flooding crisis in the Philippines”.

Initially, it has eight hospitable crew in uniform who represents the 8 cabins consisted of 5 air conditioned rooms and 3 standard rooms. Capt cabin has jakozzee for the guests to enjoy their overnight stay after a long trip. It has been the center of educational tour where you can find the history of old sailing ships and modern largest ships in the world, research studies, venue for seminars, and entrepreneurship. It inspires the youth to show their creativity in making fantasies, in creating stories, and producing videos of their own.

In addition, a 3 storey kubo is constructed at the back of Shiphaus for refreshments and grills.

Shiphaus depicted the Sailor’s Life, leading said owner Capt Dumapias to win “ Model OFW Family of the Year Award” ( MOFYA 2011) in the National Capital Region and a nominee to the National Level Competition Sea-Based Category.
