Scuola dei Bambini di Sta. Teresita, an International Montessori school, first opened its doors in June 2001. Its name, which is an Italian phrase, means school of little children of St. Therese. The name was originally coined by a family friend, who happens to be a man of God, Fr. Jerry Oblepias. It was patterned after the very first school opened by Dr. Maria Montessori in Italy-Casa dei Bambini. St. Therese was chosen as the school’s patron saint due to the personal devotion of the Directress.
The school received its International Montessori Accreditation from Montessori Institute of America (MIA) in Kent, Washington in June 2002.
The school received its Government Recognition for the Preschool level in August 2004.
