The history starts from Great – great Grand Father named Emilio Garcia who happens to be
a merchant, bound on his “Batil” (big boad made of wood specially for merchandising goods).
It happed some time that his “Batil” passed by this paradise island called Boracay and he
was offered by some residents here to make “barter” (exchange of goods instead of money).
This property here was then exchanged only from “pinarak” (formed sugar / delicacy),
“tabako” (tobacco), “asin” (salt), and some money. The property was subdivided on his heirs and
our grandfather “Papa Oque” was one of the lucky ones.
Sanderswhite was established on 1984, which means “Sands are White”. We started as one
duplex (2 rooms), without electricity, the source of light was Kerosene Lamp, and the water source
comes from jetmatic, and “Baruto” (small pumpboats) are the only way for transportation.
