Regional Training Center 11

RTS11 caters to Region 11 PNP constituents comprising the provinces of Davao del Norte, Davao Oriental, Davao del Sur, South Cotabato and Surigao del Sur. The school is located at the heart of Mintal Poblacion, Davao City with a total land area of 12.5 hectares acquired from the Bureau of Plant Industry around 15 kilometers from Davao City proper. On all sides, it stands on a clear view of Mount Apo, on the northwest, the tropical fruit plantations, and on the eastern part, the booming commercial industrial and residential zones.
It is among the nine (9) Regional Police academies established and operated by the National Police Commission in line with its objective of upgrading the country’s police service. The training school was established and inaugurated on 26 April 1973 bearing the name Eastern Mindanao Police Academy. All levels of government from the national, city and provincial sectors were well represented, along with a USAID delegation headed by a personal representative of the United States Mission.
