Pane e Dolci

Pane e Dolci used to be an Online-based pastry boulangerie that specializes in baking and making specialty cakes and delectable desserts. Pictures of cakes and other treats were posted on Facebook for online customers to choose from. These online customers then order through SMS or private messages and comments on FB. Once the cakes and desserts were ready, the customers pick their orders up at our old apartment or we hand them personally during meet-ups.

Later in our operation as a struggling online business we used to bake fondant and gum paste adorned cakes for weddings and birthdays. We set-up few dessert tables for special events which we were actually pretty good at despite being one of the under-dogs in our baking community.

Among our offerings in 2011 were the Dark Red Velvet Cake, Walnut Carrot Cake, Blueberry Cheese Cake, Brownies, and Chocolate Revel Bars which are still available up to this date. In late 2012 we started making Sylvannas, exclusively for a coffee shop in Carmen which became a big hit among the University students who frequents the place. One day that coffee shop owner refused to accept our sylvannas delivery because we failed to deliver on-time (it was our fault alright but no biggie). We decided to post the sylvannas on our personal facebook timeline hoping that someone might buy them so we can gain profit instead of losing entirely the recipe and overhead costs. Fortunately someone, a customer, an angel bought everything… and the rest is history! Customers started coming to our little apartment to buy sylvannas and when our visitors and patrons increased by the dozen, we decided to open a store in 8 October 2013.

Today we make more than 150 packs of sylvannas daily, delighting customers within Cagayan de Oro City and nearby Cities like, Iligan, Butuan, Valencia, and Davao. Because we want to focus on the quality of our sylvannas, we no longer make customized-cakes and set-up dessert tables. However, together with our old-time favourites, more cakes joined in our line-up of desserts; Opera Cake, Chocolate Mud Cake, and little treats like cookies are now available in our little House of Pastry, Pane e Dolci.
