Located along Mindanao Avenue in Tandang Sora, Quezon City, The Our Lady of the Annunciation Parish or, more popularly known as "OLAP" was established on March 18, 1992 through the blessings of then Jaime Cardinal Sin, Archbishop of Manila. He installed Fr. Jaime M. Zurbano, Jr. as its first parish priest.
The name of the church was suggested by Msgr. Arsenio Bautista to pay homage to the mystery of "The Annunciation”, the celebration of the announcement by the angel Gabriel to blessed VirginMary that she would conceive and become the mother of Jesus, the Son of God, marking his Incarnation.
In January 2013, OLAP was canonically elevated as a Diocesan Shrine of the Incarnation. Msgr. Jesus Romulo C. Rañada, then parish priest, spearheaded the preparation to constitute the petition for OLAP to become a Shrine and was approved by the Most Rev. Antonio R. Tobias, D.D., bishop of the Diocese of Novaliches.
The Our Lady of the Annunciation Parish and Shrine of the Incarnation belongs to the Roman Catholic Diocese of Novaliches and to the Vicariate of San Isidro Labrador.
Rev. Fr. Elpidio “Jun” R. de Peralta is the incumbent Parish Priest.
