Northern Negros Electric Cooperative, Inc.

VRESCO which will later be known as Northern Negros Electric Cooperative, Inc. (NONECO) holds the distinction of being the pilot rural electrification project in the Philippines, it has played an important role in the growth and development of the northern parts of Negros as it continuously powered and supported the Sugar Refining Industry which is the primary life blood of Negros Occidental. With the help of NONECO, tourism, mango farming and processing, Old historic churches, and colorful festivals has also been made possible. NONECO now has expanded its domain into nine districts which are the cities of Cadiz, Victorias, Sagay, Escalante and San Carlos, as well as the towns of Toboso, E.B. Magalona, Calatrava and Manapla.
