Mapulang LupAko

Barangay Mapulang Lupa is one of the 33 barangays in Valenzuela City and one of the 42,028 total barangays in the Philippines. At present, it has an estimated population of 22, 407 occupying the barangay’s 140.8 square hectares of land out of the country’s estimated population of 98,031,000.

The idea of organizing Mapulang LupAko Go!VOLUNTARISMO came about as a response to the question: Is there someone who still cares for the community?

While it is true that there are many volunteers and volunteer groups of different sorts in the country today, none of them/these can really be identified as volunteers of a particular barangay community organization.
