It forms part of the Cebu metropolitan area with four neighbouring cities, including Cebu City and Lapu-Lapu City, located on Mactan Island. The project is located in a highly urbanized city with a population of 331,320 in an area of 2,518 ha – a density of 13,000 per km2. Our site forms part of a Reclamation area, a project with about 190 ha of reclaimed land, within a major industrial area. There are major business districts at Cebu Business Park and Cebu IT Park. There are also a number of residential and commercial projects underway in the region. To create a human sense of scale, Crone focused the Master Plan on the active promenade and retail zone along the seashore. Crone extended key boulevards & proposed landmark buildings, creating entries to the district that directed people towards the foreshore. Thoroughly testing and trialling different options to ensure the optimal spread of density across the site, Crone has ensured a dense city district maintains a resort atmosphere.
