More about Likha Molino IV Elementary School

Like most public schools, this school is a realization of the vision of a retired government employee in the name of Mrs. Sexon, a resident of Molino IV, Bacoor, Cavite. She dreamt of a free education for the children of this barangay. She took the initiative of securing all the needed documents with the District Supervisor Dr. Susan S. Guinto taking part in the processing of requirements with the Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Leonora B. Ignacio playing as the key to its approval of operation.

Likha Village was developed by Adelfa Properties Inc. and owned by Jefferson Multi-Resources. The open space which has an area of 1,453 square meters was turned over to Likha Village Homeowners Association. The association through its president , Mr. Teofilo Tagle coordinated with the Municipal Mayor, Hon. Jessie B. Castillo to accept the donation of open space as evident in the submitted Deed of Donation voluntarily executed by Mr. Teofilo Tagle in favor of the municipality.

This donated open space at Likha Village became the nesting grounds of Likha Molino IV Elementary School which is established in 2002 as a satellite school of Molino Elementary School which is one (1) kilometer away. The first building in this school is a Filipino-Chinese Chamber Association School Building composed of two (2) classrooms and a partially constructed Dep.Ed. 2 storey 4 classroom building which were built through the efforts of Mrs. Sexon and some community people.

The school was formerly supervised by Dr. Corazon A. Reyes the principal of Molino Elementary School with Dr. Susan S. Guinto, the District Supervisor of Bacoor II being a satellite school from June 2002-September 2003. It then got its independence when Dr. Nancy Cristina A. de Leon a Teacher-in-Charge was assigned in this school on October 2003.

Since then, the school soar into the air with its dramatic progress, the construction of stage , perimeter fence, Home Economics/Canteen Building, Administration Building, a two storey 4 classroom building and previously constructed 2 storey 2 classroom building and heavy duty service gate through the 8 year supervision of the then Teacher-in-Charge now Principal II, Dr. Nancy Cristina A. de Leon and the unending support of the District Supervisor Dr.Susan S. Guinto and the Local Government Unit .

Quality education, effective, efficient and competitive teachers, these are some of the factors necessary in an institution to progress with the leadership of the former principal, Mrs. Elizabeth P. Garcia, now principal of Gawaran Elementary School. She had set her goals for the school in terms of delivering quality education to its clientele through proper curriculum development, addressing problems of teachers and pupils in the classroom and provision of needed training of the teachers from July 2012 to February 2014.

At present the school is under the leadership of its new principal in the person of Mrs. Ma. Teresa G. Semino, a former principal of Zapote Elementary School. One of her goals is the improvement of the school facilities. She also provides seminars, orientations and trainings to ensure that teachers will be globally competitive individuals with the best knowledge and skills.
