LifeWay Community Fellowship Center Building Project

It was in the year 2006 when God called Pastor Jimmy Fundar to minister to the family of First Baptist Church of Dau. One day, while resting on his hammock under a mango tree, God gave Pastor Jimmy a vision of having a new building raised in the area, although he didn't mind worshiping in a small church sanctuary and feeling contented with the existing resources that the church has. Every time he lies down on his hammock, his eyes are still opened seeing the new church building, but he continually ignored it because he knew it will take a substantial budget for his vision to materialize. To speak in fun, he shared to some leaders that someday God will replace the old building with a new and bigger one. Those whom he shared his vision did not show any negative reactions but instead they expressed their excitement with a faith in their hearts that this will come into reality.
In the year 2010, undersecretary for Public Information and Road Transport Mr. Dante Velasco, the speaker during a Pastor’s tribute said, “The progress is coming in Pampanga, you pastors need to prepare a church for this approaching progress because more investors and workers are coming and will migrate in your area.” When he heard it, his heart trembled with awe looking back to the vision that God had shown him. He said to God, “Lord this is now Your confirmation, we will do it as you will partner with us in our resources.”

God gave him the following reasons why FBCD will build a new building:

I. Strategically
FBCD is located near Clark Economic Zone where multi companies are investing and expanding. It’s also near Diosdado Macapagal International Airport (DMIA) which serves as the gateway to Asia, Europe and other countries.

II. Economically
FBCD which is near Clark Economic Zone is connected to Subic through SCTEX. These two are giant economic magnets that bring more workers from different places, more other investors and other opportunities that will bring more migrants.

III. Biblically
Just like Paul, he brought the disciples to the hall of Tyrannus; (Acts 19:9-10) trained them and sent them to the province of Asia to share the Word of God. FBCD will become like that hall for training and equipping believers to go in the community and to the ends of the earth to share the Love of God. (Matt. 28:19-20)

IV. Culturally
In the Philippines, the mindset of the Filipinos is that, if s church is small, no good facilities and dilapidated, they will not come and join to worship. Filipinos wanted to join big and beautiful churches with impressive and complete facilities. As progress is entering Pampanga, FBCD is prepared by God to cater the increase of members both quality and quantity.

These are the reasons why this new building was envisioned.
