Katala Beach Resort and Restaurant

Katala Beach Resort and Restaurant was built and developed thru the sole proprietorship of Mr. Josef Robert Schroetter an Austrian. He is the late husband of Mrs. Jocelyn S. Schroetter. He started construction work at the later part of April 1997, and it was finished on January 2000. The hotel and restaurant has its grand opening on May 30, 2000.

Location:

The resort is located at Bacong-Bacong, Gasan, Marinduque.

How to get there?

In order to reach Katala Beach Resort, one can ride the Jac Liner Bus located in Kamuning CUbao that service the Manila to Marinduque route vise versa. Then you get off in Bacong-Bacong in front of Katala Beach Resort. There are three points of entry in Marinduque from Lucena Port. There are Cawit Port which ideal spot for those who wanted to stay in Gasan and Boac. Second is thru Balanacan Port, located in Mogpog and the third is Buyabong Port located in Sta. Cruz.
Distance from Balanacan Port to Bacong-Bacong is 33.5 km.

Hotel:

The hotel has a total nos. of eighteen rooms. The second floor have fully airconditioned rooms. Each room has a double bed and a single extra bed. It also have its own toilet and bath. Each room has its own veranda where in you can see the panoramic view of Tres Reyes Island. The first floor of the hotel have the five family fully airconditioned room with a total room capacity of four to five person each. These are rooms ten to fourteen. The rest of the rooms fifteen to eighteen ventilated rooms.

Fan Rooms - P1000/day

Restaurant:
The resort has its own restaurant that caters local and selected European Dishes. The restaurant also caters meals and drinks packages for seminars hels at the resort.
Function Hall:

The outdoor function hall can accommodate 100 persons, while the indoor airconditiones function hall can accommodate 50 persons.

Recreational Activities

The resort has a motorized banana for hire for island hopping, snorkeling or scuba diving at the Tres Reyes Island0
The resort also has its own van for hire or a motorbike if one wishes to have a tour around the island.
The Island has a wide beach front suited for beach volleyball, picnic, frisbee game.
It also have beach cottages fitted with bamboo beds where in one can relax and unwind after a long swim and game at the beach.

Others:

The hotel have each own generator for back up whenever there is blackout.
