K9 Obedience Club Of Negros Occidental

The K9 Obedience Club was formed some time in early 2003 when a group of dog training hobbyists in Bacolod met and decided to form themselves into a club with the main aim of helping people learn how to train their dogs for obedience.

The first venue of the club was somewhere in Dona Juliana. Then transferred to Eroreco Village a few months later. An offer from a new training enthusiast, Mr. William Chua, for free use of around a half hectare of land in Mansilingan, was accepted some time in 2004, and the Club transferred to it's present location.

Members chipped in to erect a club house in 2005. a 70 sqm. floor area hut with "nipa roof" and with the convenience of toilet and plumbing was constructed. With the club house and training grounds operational, the membership expanded and people started to join and seriously learn how to train dogs.

The K9 Obedience Club is especially known in the Philippines for spearheading, aside from obedience, the progress of the dog sports of Dog Agility and Dog Fly Disc.

OBJECTIVES OF THE CLUB:

To spread and foster the " Art of Positive Dog Training" among dog owners .

To promote responsible pet ownership in Negros Occidental.
