We operate in two separate reporting segments. Our Content Services segment provides business process, technology and consulting services to assist clients in setting digital content production and product strategies, integrating new technologies and processes, and improving the quality and efficiency of content creation, enrichment and transformation. We launched our other segment, Innodata Advanced Data Solutions, during the second quarter of 2011, to perform advanced data analysis services in the financial, healthcare, medical and insurance industries.

Innodata continues to gain recognition year after year as the leader in knowledge process outsourcing and publishing services. We were named to the Global Outsourcing 100 and several top ten categories by the International Association of Outsourcing Professionals (IAOP). The Black Book of Outsourcing again recognized us this year as a leading provider of outsourced knowledge services to the publishing business. In addition, we were once again named to EContent magazines EContent 100 and ranked as one of Indias leading ITeS and BPO companies by D&B India.

History:

Innodata Inc. was founded in 1988 in New York City to provide digitized content as the Internet was emerging from its scientific roots to become a commercial and social force. The company created quality assurance and audit procedures.

By 1992, the year the company went public, Innodata had grown to more than 1,000 employees worldwide. Advances in telecommunications infrastructure allowed it to establish personnel in Asia to support North American and European operations. Throughout the decade, the company opened major facilities in the Philippines, Sri Lanka and India.

The company tripled its revenue to $60 million from $20 million between 1999 and 2001.

Innodata acquired Isogen International in 2001 and integrated both of the company’s content management and publishing technologies, structured information standards and outsourcing services. In 2003, the name of Innodata Isogen Inc. was formally adopted to reflect the full range of consolidated offerings in Content Supply Chain Optimization.

On Dec 27, 2005, Innodata Isogen announced that Steven L. Ford had joined the company as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.

Starting in 2007, the company started taking advantage of the growing popularity of e-books to become a producer of technology and processes for transforming books into e-book formats for distribution and sell-through on tablets and e-readers. To date, Innodata has produced over 1.2 million e-books and is presently distributing more than 1,500 e-books per day across 25 global platforms and e-bookstores.
