FERNANDO LAW was formed by Judge Jose Ener S. Fernando (Ret.), Atty. Janina Marie S. Fernando-Lagman, and Atty. Robenson D. Avenida, who are duly licensed members of the Philippine Bar and members in good standing of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines.

Before establishing FERNANDO LAW, the younger partners trained in some of the country’s top law firms and biggest banking institutions, where they built and strengthened their expertise in remedial management/asset recovery, labor and litigation. Having been employed as in-house counsels likewise equipped them with the experience in drafting and reviewing contracts, rendering opinions and handling other needs in corporate and commercial dealings.

Prior to establishing FERNANDO LAW, Judge Fernando served in the Judiciary for twenty-three (23) years as the Executive Judge of the Regional Trial Court of Dinalupihan, Bataan. He obtained his Bachelor of Laws Degree in 1978 from the San Beda College of Law. Atty. Fernando-Lagman obtained her Juris Doctor Degree from the Ateneo De Manila University School of Law in 2007. She started her legal career as a junior associate in Siguion Reyna Montecillo & Ongsiako Law Offices and thereafter, became an in-house loan documentation, asset recovery litigation and remedial management lawyer for BDO Unibank, Inc. for three years before deciding to partner up with her father Judge Fernando and Atty. Avenida, who acquired his Bachelor of Laws Degree from the University of Santo Tomas Faculty of Civil Law in 2006. Atty. Avenida was an associate lawyer in De La Rosa Nograles Law Office. He joined AMA Rural Bank, Inc. as legal officer in 2007 and BDO Unibank, Inc. in 2010 as in-house remedial management/asset recovery litigation lawyer up to mid 2015.

Presently, Atty. Avenida handles the delinquent accounts of Insular Rural Bank, Inc., Argus Credit Corporation, and Basis Financial Services, Inc. While Atty. Fernando-Lagman handles cases for Philippine National Bank (PNB), Coca-Cola Bottlers and Guagua Savers Bank in Pampanga.
