Dumlao Sports Center

Dumlao Sports Center, also known as Dumlao Gym for most of its regular clients, has been a landmark in Shaw Boulevard, Mandaluyong for decades. It was first named Famous Physical Fitness and Gymnastics by founder Cesar A Dumlao late 1970’s. For decades, our covered courts has provided our countless clients a venue for sporting events – from basketball, volleyball to Jujitsu tournaments; and a venue for functions – from company Christmas parties, concerts, team building, Meeting De Avance for some political parties and even held graduation rites for Famous Academy.

Cesar A Dumlao’s passion for basketball was his drive in providing quality covered basketball courts, not only for his personal games, but also for others to enjoy. In 1978 to 1984, he was part of the Office of the President Athletic League (OPAL). He was known as the man who scored 168 points and earned 35 trophies during his prime. Trophies and articles from IDEAL Journal and Bulletin Today are stored and displayed at the lobby of Dumlao Sports Center to showcase his achievement not only as an entrepreneur but also as a basketball player.

Our sports center was also used as a venue for Milo’s commercial ads;
A regular sporting venue for some showbiz personalities;
A practice venue for some Professional Basketball teams; and
The home of Samboy Lim’s basketball program to date.

His love for the game is still our inspiration in maintaining and improving our sports center… Striving to provide you a venue suitable for our clients’ needs to promote health, fitness development, team spirit and camaraderie.

The Dumlao Sports Center halls will always be filled with memories, cheers, laughter, critics and even basketball brawls… and Cesar A Dumlao’s love for sports and fitness, most specially - basketball will forever linger and continue to serve as our motivation to provide its clients a safe and maintained venue allowing people of all ages to enjoy, participate and excel in any form of sports that fosters a healthy lifestyle for more years to come.
