The bureau of Public School stamped its imprimatur to the meritorious request and so, in July 1947, the La Carlota High School officially started its operation; Mr. Luciano Lopez was appointed as the first Principal with fourteen teachers composing the initial faculty, and 480 students for its pioneer populations. Classes were offered from the first year to third year. IN the meantime, the regional schools utilize the 2nd and third floors of the Supreme Court, in 1948, awarded 12 hectares of Hda. Fe property for the High School Site on its decision on the ex-appropriation proceedings which was ably argued by the Provincial Fiscal Jesus Rodriguez in behalf of the Municipality. Don Ciro Locsin on the other hand generously donated 5 ½ hectares of his Hda. Canman-ug property, thus converting the High school Site into 17 ½ hectares, reputedly the biggest among all public high schools in the Philippines.
