DESA Dairy Farm, Sabah

Located about 100 km North of Kota Kinabalu, at the picturesque foothills of Mt. Kinabalu. With a cold temperate climate at the farm, our pure breed Holstein Friesian cows originated from Australia and New Zealand - (typically black and white in colour) nestled on a temperate pasture all year round. Producing the Finest and Freshest quality milk.

Visitors are welcome to see cows being milked and milk processing and packing activities (at certain time/day) besides enjoying the weather. Visitors can buy our Desa Fresh Milk and a range of souvenirs and we also have attractions and activities especially for children like bottle-feeding calves and young dairy goats.

Milking Processing Viewing: 2:15p.m. to 4:15p.m.
Milk Processing & Packing: 10:00a.m. to 3:00p.m. (Tue, Thu, Sun)
Calf Feeding & Milking Activities: 8:00a.m. to 4:30p.m.

The afternoon milking is slightly earlier to enable the farm visitors to observe the milking process. Whereas milk processing are on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday.

DESA Fresh Milk is especially nutritious and is naturally a good provider of a whole range of nutrients essential to growth, development and maintenance of the human body and contains no artificial preservatives or colourings. Desa Fresh Milk therefore makes a significant contribution to the human diet through provision of the macro-nutrients, vitamins and minerals.

Strict hygiene condition is observed starting from the milking process with proper cleaning of cow's udder. The milk is immediately chilled through a Plate Exchanger (PHE) and sent for processing via cooling stainless steel pipes, eliminating human contact - thus adhering to high standard of hygiene. Desa milk processing plant is located at the farm and uses modern technology in fresh milk processing, homogenising and packaging
