The people behind the company are no strangers to the realities of the housing and construction industry in the Philippines. Aware that government and private sector-led initiatives are far from addressing the demands for affordable houses, the idea behind Camia Homes germinated.

Exploring ways to provide better quality of living for a lesser price in recent years led to the establishment of BIGCITY in October 2011, as an offshoot of the founder’s experience in their family’s construction business. The latter’s solid reputation for the last 40 years lends credence to the development of BIGCITY.

A quick scan of their current resources – and matching such with the environment’s requirements, BIGCITY’S founders have decided to develop a low-cost housing project in their Nasugbu, Batangas property, approximately 10 minutes away from the city proper.

Unwilling to sacrifice strongly held beliefs about the value of quality of living conditions over business interests, the founders are resolute to offer more than most developers of current low cost housing projects. Expertise borne out of years in the construction industry makes it possible for Camia Homes to build houses that cost less but are nonetheless attractive as they are enduring.

The high cost of decent housing options, the rapid development of the Batangas due to tourism and industry growth, and the impact of a growing populace make it more difficult to invest in a house in Nasugbu.

It is in these ideation and condition that BIGCITY gave birth to Camia Homes
