Cagayan Institute of Behavioral Medicine

The Cagayan Institute of Behavioral Medicine (CIBM) is the first and only private behavioral health facility in the province of Cagayan that strictly observes the rights of persons with mental illness and applies the biospsychosocial approach in a less restrictive environment.

The CIBM analyzes and diagnose a person with mental condition and gives the best appropriate treatment, care and rehabilitation based on international and National guidelines. The patients shall be treated with humanity and respect that is inherent to the dignity of human persons and they shall be treated in the least restrictive environment with the least restrictive or intrusive treatment appropriate to the patient’s health needs and the need to protect the physical safety of others.

The objectives of treatment and rehabilitation are the following:

The main goal of the treatment and rehabilitation is to re-integrate the person back to the community and function as a self reliant and responsible individual.
