Cafe de Cabuyao

We are a small and cozy Coffee Shop that is located in the heart of Cabuyao. Our Shop was first opened in 2013 as Café Liberica. It was founded by the Coffee Cooperative of the Barangay Casile, City of Cabuyao in the Province Laguna. Our Cooperative is a small alliance of 107 coffee farmers and residents of the Barangay Casile that are working together in order to produce and sell our local coffee. Out of the 107 members we have 15 actives. Our Cooperative has been existing since 2011 and we are proud of our agricultural heritage and tradition. Our community has been producing this kind of coffee for 30 years.

For many years, it was our dream to open a Coffee Shop in Casile. The Chairman Juanito Andal was working towards the opening of the Coffee Shop and provided a rent-free building to the cooperative to help us achieve our goal of owning our own business. For us, values like tradition, collaboration and sustainability are very important and we embrace these in our coffee shop. We are a hard-working, familial and friendly community that is proud of our little Shop.

The beans that we use to produce our coffee come from local farmers. Most of the coffee farmers are part of the Cooperative, but we are also supported from farmers of other Barangays in the City of Cabuyao. Currently there are 25 farmers who sell their coffee beans to the Cooperative, which can then be used to make our traditional coffee.

In 2015, we changed our name to Café de Cabuyao. We are proud of the origin of our coffee and of Cabuyao. We wanted to emphasize the fact that all of our coffee products are locally grown and produced.

In the future, we hope to expand our business and turn our Coffee Shop into an attractive location for the Province Laguna. We are also planning to rename the Coffee Shop to Café Indio. We want to be unique and different from other big coffee shops.
