Bungalow Hostel is a cozy and welcoming artsy home in the heart of Dumaguete City located along Valencia/Luzuriaga street, Barangay Bagacay in front of God’s Property Barbershop and near Hypermart. It is minutes away from Dumaguete’s famous and well-kept attractions such as Tierra Alta, Forest Camp, Tejero Highland Resort, and Pulangbato Waterfalls. It’s only 30 minutes away from the pristine Bacong, Dauin, and Zamboangita beaches.

I’m Joe and I run Bungalow Hostel. I love the island life and fell in love with Dumaguete after vacationing here some time ago. I find that Dumaguete has the perfect mix of laid-back comforts, accessibility to city life, and unspoiled natural wonders. I decided to move here and experience the city many have named as one of best places in the world to retire in.

My home-hostel is very much accessible to Dumaguete’s best known tourist spots and hidden gems alike, but it’s in a quieter part of the bustling city. This is why I want to share it with fellow divers and travellers looking for a place to stay. We treat our guests as friends and we offer unique, clean, spacious, and cozy rooms and beds that encourage community building and creativity. I personally tend to our guests (unless we’re particularly very busy) and we offer diving and land tours to help you get acquainted with the city I fell in love with.
