Bombo Radyo Legazpi powered with 5000 watts is also heard not only in Albay but in some areas of Bicol Region (Masbate, Sorsogon, Catanduanes and parts of Camarines Sur and Samar-Leyte area)

First heard in Albay and in the neighboring provinces on December 14 1997, and since then became the foremost source of reliable information and dependable public service for the people of Albay. "Basta Radyo...Bombo!" became a provincial tongue. Giving the impression that all radio stations are Bombo Radyo hence the phrase.
