Bicol Christian College of Medicine -AMEC BCCM

The College of Medicine was established in 1980 at Legazpi City and was so named, Bicol Christian College of Medicine. It is a privately owned medical school and the pioneer in the Bicol Region —a member of the Association of Philippine Medical Colleges Foundation, Inc. It is an accredited member of the Foundation of the Advancement of International Medical Education and Research and registered internationally with the World Health Organization. The Ago General Hospital is the base hospital of BCCM which was established in 1942.

The curriculum utilizes evidence-based teaching approach and an integrated training system where hands on experience is a requirement to instill effective health care management. There is a roster of highly qualified faculty guiding the students throughout their journey to becoming doctors. BCCM also participates in non-curricular activities such as foundation days, seminars, quiz bees, and medical school gatherings.

AMEC-BCCM is continuously producing dedicated physicians since decades ago. With the values and principles it engraved to each student, the institution continues to soar high. Despite the challenges of time, it has remained steadfast and deeply rooted to its core values. It aims to produce dignified physicians as what Dr. Damaceno J. Ago always envisioned.
