Founded by a small but dedicated group of educators who share a passion for developing lifelong learners, critical thinkers and effective communicators, Bannister Academy embraces the sound
and time-tested practices of the many Paideia schools throughout North America. As one of the few Paideia schools outside the US, we believe genuine understanding and academic mastery take place when students are mentally engaged, acquire language and math skills through guided
practice, and given opportunities for self-expression.

Individualized Attention

Our commitment to personalized education is seen in two concrete ways. First, our classes are limited to 15-20 students per class to maximize contact time with each student. Second, our mentoring program—involving regular conversations between a student and an assigned teacher—allows us to closely track our students’ academic development, individual needs and ethical growth.
