Banaue – Batad Tour Starting At Php 1,850 (2D/1N)

BATAD is one of the most treasured as it is listed in UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Batad is located as well in Banaue well we all Filipino know that it is really a precious place to be taken care of until the end of time. Knowing that it is where the Rice Terraces are; it is considered as a symbol how early Filipinos showed their “BAYANIHAN”(Filipino term for helping each other). Every single person who we’re able to go here is definitely amazed of how the natives made this. The walls are made upd of mud and rocks considering the fact that more or less it was built roughly 2,000 ago.

These are all hand made; made of hands that are full of creativeness and full of hope. The view is really breathe taking. The clear sunrise when you’re on top of it gives you a sign of hope and beauty and the sunset that you will see gives you the sign that no matter what happen there will be another tomorrow. Traveling in is way different in any other places. It will not be a fancy trip for you.

Most people enjoys going here with their slippers on; or hiking shoes. It’s not gonna be a fancy city that you will go. No means of transportation so don’t expect that when you get tired you can ride a taxi (LOL! ;-) ). It is more of appreciating what’s behind those mountains. It more of taking a look of the real rice terraces that you can see in a 1,000 Philippine Peso Bill. Though this tour will not only take you do that breathe taking. Get to see how the locals live their life differently in the city that you’re living right now.

One of the most very popular thing to do and place to go as well is the “Tapiya Falls”. Get ready to hike roughly about 40 mins to 1hour from the inn. It will not be an easy trek tho, but of course you will be accompanied by a local tourist guide. By the time that you reach the Tapiya falls well then you can jump off to it’s 30 meter cold water considering that it is located in a mountain. Expect cold weather in Batad or Banaue.

SAGADA is famous for its hanging coffins. This is a traditional way of burying people that is still utilized. Not everyone is qualified to be buried this way; among other things, one had to have been married and had grandchildren.

Popular activities include trekking, exploring both caves and waterfalls, spelunking, bonfires, picnics, rappelling, visiting historical sites, nature hikes, and participating in tribal celebrations.Most of the guides are natives, also known as Igorots.

CHALLENGING STAIRWAY TO MT. AMUYAO 3D2N

MT. AMUYAO A highly sought hike because of grandeur view and challenges. Standing at a 2702 MASL this mountain is currently the 5th highest of Luzon which was displaced by its neighbor mountain Mt.Kalawitan 2714MASL into 4th place highest in Luzon. This mountain is easily can be spotted from the summit of Mt Pulag, rising an island into the sea of clouds. The summit is remarkably occupied by the broadcasting station such as GMA, ABS CBN etc and the debunked company station which standing at the highest point of this mountain and currently used as bunker house by hiker or guide. Despite of this obstruction you can roam around to its perimeter to have you 360 view of the surrounding. One of the attractions here also are the sea of clouds, neighborhood mountains such as Mt. Kalawitan and the highly visible Mt. Pulag.

This mountain is bounded by 2 provinces Mountain Province (Barlig) and Ifugao (Mayaoyao) although the other one famed jump off is the Barlig jump off which is the access point for Batad Rice terraces. Normally the hiker starts at Batad which is the nearest jump off to the summit in comparison by coming from Ifugaobarlig. It is the hiker choice whether to have traditional route or traverse.

One of the disadvantage of this climb is the price for guide which is staggering high by minimum it is 1500/day if you are good to negotiate it but more often they asked for 1800/day.
