The term Balayko-op is derived from two words “Balay” and “Kooperatiba”

Balay, Bahay, House (n.)- a building in which people live; residence for human being; a building for any purposes.

Kooperatiba, Cooperative (n.) An autonomous association of persons united voluntarily to meet their common aspirations through a jointly-owned and democratically-controlled enterprise.

Balayko-op Pensionne is located within the PCF building which is 4-storey structure designed as an environment-friendly through the maximum use of natural light and ventilation. We’re implementing a “No Smoking” policy within PCF Building area to protect and enhance our indoor air quality, to contribute to the health, well being of our guest, clients and employees.

Founded in 2011, Balayko-op Pensionne is the newest pensionne house in Cebu City. It is operated by the Visayas Coop Assets Management Inc. (VICAMI), a wholly owned by subsidiary of the Philippine Cooperative Central Fund, Federation (PCF). It aims to create a natural environment where we can keep and build relationships with our customers, suppliers and partners, and develop the business as a whole. We also seek to ensure a profitable and professional business and help customers to utilize their time more efficiently.

Offering a peaceful and home-like ambiance, BalayKo-op is suitable for business and leisure travelers at a very affordable price. It features 16 spacious rooms and suites designed to ensure a pleasant stay for the guests. From Dormitory style that can accommodate 3-5 persons, deluxe rooms good for 3 persons and private matrimonial rooms. Furthermore, one room is designed for the use of persons with disability (PWD), consistent with PCF’s advocacy for the PWD sector. All rooms are well-furnished, comfortable, and equipped with modern facilities including air-conditioning, cable TV, telephone service and private toilet with hot and cold shower. Extra beds are provided upon payment for a minimal fee. We also have 24/7 front desk officers, 24/7 surveillance cameras for every floor including roof deck, basement parking lot and 24/7 roaming security guard. You can easily get in touch with your loved ones with our 24/7 WiFi internet access for free.

BalayKo-op also offers function room which can accommodate for a maximum seating capacity of 70 persons. Inclusions are sound systems, white board and marker. LCD projector white screen and free WIFI access. The venue is ideal for business, school activities, social gatherings and other events. It also offers space for rent for those who are looking for an office and etc.

We are located at the heart of the city where you can have easy access to medical establishments, the Cebu Provincial Capitol, shopping centers (Ayala Center, Robinsons Mall, Downtown Malls and SM Mall), city tourist spots, Sport Center and the famous Fuente Osmeña Circle. Public transportation is also accessible like jeepneys and taxis. It only takes 45-55 minutes ride from the airport to BalayKo-op by taxi and 15-25 minutes from BalayKo-op to the seaport area.
