More about AYP Farm & Poultry Processing Plant

AYP Farm
AYP Farm started in the poultry industry in 1998 as a research growing farm for the company JAKA. The farm started with two (2) semi-automatic conventional type buildings. Initially, the only objective of the farm was purely for the research of JAKA in growing chickens for 45 days. Eventually, the farm acquired the proper techniques in growing chickens and in the year 2000, AYP Farm was not only a research farm, it already became a contract grower. An expansion of two (2) more buildings was added in order to suffice increasing market demands. Unfortunately, JAKA lost its edge in the poultry industry and had to close down its operations in the region. Having been left with the knowledge in growing poultry efficiently, AYP did not have a hard time finding another Integrator in the form of SWIFT. From 2001 to 2003, AYP became a contract grower for SWIFT Company. Regrettably, SWIFT too encountered troubles in surviving the market in the region and was forced to pull out their operation here in the region. Finally, Bounty Agro Ventures Inc. (BAVI) came in the picture in 2004. From then till 2008, AYP farm expanded its buildings from four (4) conventional buildings to twelve (12) conventional buildings, which can easily accommodate for over eighty thousand (80,000) birds per grow period. Today, the prosperous relationship between AYP and BAVI is still growing. Together, the companies share in learning new techniques and schemes in growing and hitting the targeted live weight in less than 37 days with the corresponding feed conversion ratio and harvest recovery. Hand in hand, the aforementioned companies share in exploring new techniques in growing poultry effectively and efficiently in order to cater to the market’s growing needs.

AYP Dressing Plant
AYP Dressing Plant started in 2001 as a commercial dressing plant available to anyone who wishes to pay toll for slaughtering, dressing, and packaging their chicken livestock. It has an “AA” classification given by the National Meat Inspection Service (NMIS). At that time, AYP saw the growing opportunity in the poultry service industry and ventured into another integral aspect of the vast poultry industry. The Dressing Plant, a semi-automated facility that uses the mixture of man power and machine, was initially slaughtering 300 birds an hour and sometimes at only three (3) times a week. As the years progressed, learning and expertise began to grow together with the expanding market demand for poultry products. The number of slaughter also grew. In 2003 the dressing plant purchased a 40 ft freezer container van; to cater to storage needs which the customers can use to stock there forecasted slaughters for the week. Integrators were soon looking for an exclusive partner which they can rely and depend on in catering the market’s growing needs. In 2004 AYP Dressing Plant entered into an exclusivity contract with Bounty Fresh Agro Ventures Inc. This partnership was able to create a more efficient way of slaughtering and dressing chickens that were offered to the market. In 2008, AYP Dressing Plant constructed a new plant which was bigger and better than the previous one. The new dressing plant can slaughter 3000 birds per hour with a 77.5 % carcass recovery rate. It is also able to do”further processing” such as choice cuts for various market preferences. A new process was also born in this year, the marinating process. This department is in charge of handling and processing the various products that can be purchased in the Chooks To Go outlets in the region. In 2009, AYP purchased 2 refer vans to aid BAVI in delivering marinated goods to their respective Chooks To Go outlets. A year after that, AYP again purchased 2 more refer vans to cater to the newly opened outlets.
