Ama's Beach House

Ama's Beach House is the first property in Debangan Island that opened its doors to travelers who want to explore what the island can offer and get to know the community.

We offer reasonably-priced houses and rooms for rent. See details below.

1) CABANAS

There are three houses to choose from:

a. Green House - has six beds, 3 double and 3 single. 1 toilet and bath. Ideal for groups of 6-9 people.

b. Red House - has two rooms, each of the rooms has 1 double bed and private toilet and bath. Private balcony.

c. White House - the only two-storey house in the vicinity. Has three rooms, each of the rooms has 2 beds. This house has 1 toilet and bath, two lobbies, a dinning area for eight people and a spacious balcony at the second floor overlooking Debangan beach.

**Debangan Island doesn't have access to electricity. All of our houses are equipped with mechanical fans and fluorescent lights. Some of the electric appliances are powered by solar panels. Power generators run from 6PM to 2AM.
**No hot or cold shower available in any of the houses.
**No WiFi.

2) HOW TO GET HERE

From Puerto Princesa Airport

- Take a van to Taytay (this is on the way to El Nido). Fare is Php400 per person. Private van costs Php4000.
- From Taytay drop-off point, ride a tricycle to Taytay Port. Fare is Php50 per ride max of three people.
- From Taytay Port, board the private boat arranged for you by Ama's Beach House.
**Small boat is priced at Php2000, can accommodate up to 4 people
**Big boat is priced at Php4000, can accommodate up to 15 people

All prices quoted above are one-way prices. Same price is charged for the return.
Ama's Beach House can definitely sort out the transfers for you just let us know.

3) WHAT TO DO

a. Scuba Diving - please let us know in advance as we need to source out from a third-party vendor

b. Island Hopping - discover different islands and snorkeling sites surrounding Debangan

c. Snorkeling - you don't have to go anywhere else, there is a snorkeling site right in front of Ama's Beach House; there are corals and sea turtles swimming around

d. Kayaking - kayak like a local by using an old-fashioned boat called Baruto or Sibid

e. Trekking - reach the top of Debangan in an easy 30-min trek. Meet monkeys along the way

f. Play basketball with the locals - there is a public basketball court which is 5-min walking distance from Ama's Beach House. Locals play from 3-6PM daily

g. Visit nearby island, Casian - this is a 5-min boat ride away from Debangan Island. Casian is a bigger island with more things to do: it has bakeries, ice cream stores, higher mountains to trek, more animals, and a long beach with a cemetery located on it at the back of the island

4) PRICES

Price varies depend on the number of people visiting per group. Prices below is an all-inclusive accommodation for 3 days - a place to stay, free breakfast, lunch and dinner, and unlimited water, coffee or tea.

1-2 people = Php5,000 per person
3-4 = Php4,000
5-6 = Php3,500
7-8 = Php3,000
9-10 = Php2,500
10 above = Php2,000

**Transfers are not included, but we are happy to arrange it for you without any additional cost
**One of these special seafood (lobster/ crab/ sea shells/ snail/ sea urchin/ sea mantis) is guaranteed to be served at least once during your 3-day stay (subject to availability)
**Suckling pig (Lechon) should be ordered in advance

OVERNIGHT STAY - we are also renting out our Cabanas for overnight stay, with no food included.

Red House - Php2,500 good for 4 pax
Green House - Php2,500 good for 9 pax
White House - Php3,000 good for 11 pax


DAY TRIPS - if you are from or staying at nearby towns and want to experience Ama's Beach House for a day trip, we also have a cottage to rent out for you

Cottage 4 - Php1,000 good for up to 10 pax; Additional Php100 per head if you are in excess of 10 pax
Cottage 5 - same price as Cottage 4

*Above Day Trip fee includes free use of common shower area and kitchen utensils
