CEAT traces its roots to the former Department of Agricultural Engineering created in 1912 as one of the departments of the UP College of Agriculture.
In 1976, the Department of Agricultural Engineering was elevated to the Institute of Agricultural Engineering and Technology (INSAET).
On February 24, 1983, the college was finally established upon the approval of the UP Board of Regents in its 958th meeting.
Since its institution, CEAT has become one of the best engineering colleges producing quality graduates and continuing to develop and generate engineering technologies and knowledge products in service of the Filipino people.
