The cool temperate climate of Antipolo is conducive to just taking it easy. The small drop in temperature there, relative to that of the Metro, makes all the difference in contrasting it against the noise and fury of city life. There, one can enjoy a simple delicious meal in peace, among verdant greenery—less than an hour from the Greater Manila Area.
Tipulo stands amongst the trees that cover the tranquil grounds of First Pacific Leadership Academy. Tipulo is a restaurant that offers a modern twist on Filipino cuisine and a perfect place for a quiet meal with intimate conversations. This is a far departure from other restaurants at similar academic institutions, where boisterous diners are as loud as the clanging of silverware.
Tipulo—which shares its namesake: the Tipolo tree, with the city it calls home—offers classic Filipino dishes, as well as new takes on old favorites, such as sisig rice, tinapa lumpia, and succulent boneless crispy pata.
Situated a stone’s throw from the main hall of the academy, it has become the restaurant of choice for those attending FPLA’s courses in management, as well as their Executive Talks symposiums. It has captured the fancy of most of the academy’s students.
The restaurant has also become something of a local favourite, ever since its rebranding in 2013.
