Team Carding

Carding Inc. is initially composed of four students namely, Jeremy de Leon, Alsus Don Adiaton, Gabriel Leyson and Norman Quiniquini, from the programs, Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Communications Engineering, and Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering, of Mapua Institute of Technology, Intramuros, Manila. Last October 2015, they competed in the Sikat Design Challenge 2015 hosted by the Sikat Solar Challenge Foundation through representing their Insitute as “Team Carding”. The students won as champions as they presented their innovation, “Bathala” (which means God or the highest omnipotent Supreme Being that creates the universe and provides the needs of the people in Tagalog theory): a multi-functional rocket stove which uses only green and renewable technology that aims to provide the necessities of the Dumagats of Norzagaray, Bulacan.
