Southeastern Fiber Products is a privately owned enterprise located in the province of Albay, Philippines, which produces geo-textile out of coconut husks. It uses a bio-engineering technology where coco fiber nets are installed in erosion or landslide-risk areas such as slopes, river and shorelines and mountain rehabilitation. It has been proven that this geo-textile net is most superior that any geo hutes when applied as an control system.

Coir being of natural organic matter retains water equivalent to its own weight, when laid it adheres to the surface allowing immediate control of the site. This is another product of the company that is used as a raw materials for producing organic fertilizer. In a recent study, coco peat is deal for production of eco-plywood thereby serving as oppurtunity for more environmentally protected means of doing business.
