PRIMO Café and Grille was borne from the idea of a group of friends who wanted to have their own place to share their love for eating and having fun.

The word "PRIMO" is derived from the Spanish word 'cousin' or 'a close, familiar relative'. PRIMO (or 'prime' in English) also stands for "first in excellence, quality or value", "a state or time of greatest strength, vigor or success in a person's life".

In our case, "PRIMO" is us, we are excellent friends that have considered each other as family for the past 30 years. Our zeal for prime food; prime service and prime atmosphere pushes us to make PRIMO your home and make you part of the PRIMO family.

PRIMO officially opened its doors on the 75th Anniversary of Davao's Charter Day on March 16, 2012. The celebration of the marking of the cityhood of a great city was an opportunity that PRIMO would not miss to open its doors to Davao's discerning diners.

PRIMO is Davao City's first Family Sports Café and Grille where diners can catch their favourite sporting events from any of our High Definition LED monitors situated all over the restaurant. Patrons enjoy relaxed viewing from wherever they are seated in any of our dining areas.

PRIMO specializes in simple, stomach warming, gut-filling, familiar 'comfort food.' Hot soups and stews that embrace your palate as well as your souls, they give you an undeniable sense of being safe and comfortable at home. Our bestselling KitaYama Philippine Wagyu Steaks – prime cuts from locally bred and grown Wagyu cattle are flown from Northern Mindanao weekly – provides our diners with rich high quality flavours of "prime" beef that will make them come home to PRIMO for those special "steak dinner" days every day.
