PhilNITS

The PhilNITS Foundation (formerly called the JITSE-Phil Foundation) is a non-stock, non-profit, non-government organization that was registered with the Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC) last April 10, 2002 and initially set up its office at the Penthouse of the Prince Building, 117 Rada St., Legazpi Village , Makati City.

We signed a Mutual Recognition Agreement (MRA) with the Japan IT Engineers Examination Center (JITEC) which was initially under the Japan Information Processing Development Corporation (JIPDEC), on April 17, 2002 .On May 30, 2003 : Ministry of Justice of Japan recognized the JITSE-Phil Foundation as the Philippine Nihon Joho Gijutsu Hyojun Shiken Zaidan.

May 29, 2003 :Bureau of Product Standards of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) accepts JITSE as a Phil. National Standard- PNS 2030:2003 Information Technology Engineers Skills Standards.

On August 30, 2004, the Securities and Exchange Commission approved our application for the change of name of our organization… From JITSE-Phil Foundation, Inc. to Philippine National IT Standards Foundation (PhilNITS) Inc.
