Lokal is your local one-stop-shop of well curated, high-quality and functional products beautifully crafted in its own locale, to suit each individual style of life. It supports the local home, fashion and art market around the Philipines and Southeast Asia, situated at the heart of the booming resturant strip of Lilac Street in Marikina City.

Lokal highlights well curated original handpainted artwear and funct-art, , like furniture and lamps from the monther-son tandem, well-crafted shoes from Marikina, banig works of art from Leyte and Bukidnon, architecture-inspired and ceramic accessories, unique home items from Asia, handcrafted home and body scents, as well as surplus of branded clothing. Good price points cater from young to old.

Lokal is owned by mother and son team, TV director Connie Macatuno and 12 –yr-old young artist-musician Caxantino. Inspired by the world around them, discovering and creating beautiful things everyday has been a way of bonding for these two. They began selling their hand-painted artwear at Legazpi Sunday Market for 6 years using the name, Happy Star Child, and has joined selected bazaars such as the AWCP and MaArte.

The mother-son tandem will share their awe with the world in the community of Marikina, by putting together bi-monthly activities for families and like-minded people to get-together through crafts, photography, literature, music , fashion and art. Together they handpainted a mural of muses on the façade of the shop to “envelope” them with inspiration and good vibes.
