Eastside Learning Center

EastSide Tutorial Center offers tutorial services in all subjects (pre school, grade school and high school levels) and selected college-level courses. Our mission is to help students cope with school work and be parent’s partners in helping their children be successful in school.
The center is managed by Dorothy Joy Serrano. Teacher Joy studied at the University of the Philippines in Diliman. She took up Hotel and Restaurant Administration but her first job was an Assistant Instructor at Kumon – Riverside. Her love for teaching became evident as she enjoyed working with students everyday, marveling at what a child can do with proper tools and guidance. Because of her work at Kumon, parents would also ask her to help their kids in their school work. In no time, Teacher Joy would do part time work as tutor for students from Ateneo de Manila University, La Salle Greenhills, St. Paul College-Pasig, Poveda Learning Center, Lourdes School of Mandaluyong, Sienna College-Taytay and LICS-Pasig.
By June 2010, she decided to come home to Marinduque and opened the first center in Mogpog.
This year, 2014, EastSide Tutorial Center will open a new branch in Boac.
