DXN was founded by Dato´ Dr. Lim Siow Jin, a graduate from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology. Dato´ Dr. Lim started the business in quest of the benefits of mushroom on human health. His deep interest and endless efforts has driven him to utilize the fullest potential of Ganoderma or Lingzhi, which is well-known as the King of Herbs, for human health and wealth, with the establishment of DXN in 1993.

The core business activities of DXN include cultivation, manufacturing and marketing of the health food supplements. Based in Malaysia with worldwide operation, the company is well-known for its Ganoderma business. Its product lines include dietary supplements, food and beverages, personal care products,skin care & comestic, household products and water treatment system. Since its inception in 1993, DXN has upheld its concept of ´One Dragon One World One Market and One Mind´. With this powerful concept, DXN has sailed through continuous growth over the years. On 30 September 2003, DXN Holdings Berhad was listed on the Main Board of the Bursa Malaysia. DXN was delisted on 27 December 2011 due to take-over offer by the founder.

DXN was founded by Dato´ Dr. Lim Siow Jin, a graduate from the famed Indian Institute of Technology. Dato´ Dr. Lim has a deep interest in mushrooms and their relationship with human health.

After more than 20 years of careful research and scientific analysis, Dato´ Dr. Lim discovered the specific benefits of Ganoderma or Lingzhi and its corresponding effects on human health. Realizing Lingzhi´s importance and health benefits, Dato´ Dr. Lim began sharing his knowledge about this miraculous herb among his friends and colleagues who mirrored his passion for good health.

Dato´ Dr. Lim did not stop there. He felt that he should form a company that would help more people to acquaint and utilize the benefits of this miraculous herb. In 1993, Dato´ Dr. Lim´s dream came true when he established DXN in Kedah, Malaysia

DXN was established in Malaysia with the "One Dragon" concept.

1995
DXN entered a new milestone when its headquarters in Kedah, Malaysia, costing several million Ringgit was completed.

1996
DXN ventured into the international market, entering Mauritius and Singapore with the "One World One Market" concept.

1997
Became the first Malaysian Lingzhi factory to receive the Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) certification.

Reputation proven when TV3 invited DXN for a 30-minute programme promoting and highlighting the company and its products.
DXN´s founder, Dr. Lim Siow Jin was conferred a Doctorate in Philosophy (Alternative Medicines) by the Indian Board of Alternative Medicines. With this award, DXN`s diligence in pursuing the research and development of Lingzhi was acknowledged.
DXN started its operations in Hong Kong, Brunei, and Indonesia.

1998
DXN started its operations in Thailand.

1999
Became the first Malaysian multi-level marketing (MLM) company to receive the coveted Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) certification from the Ministry of Health, Australia.
Became the first Malaysian Lingzhi factory to receive ISO 9001 certification.
Malaysian Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Dr. Mahathir Mohamad, visited DXN`s Lingzhi farm and factory. He commended DXN for contributing towards the concept of promoting Malaysian products.

Became the first Malaysian company to produce high vitality spirulina, which yields increasing demand in the market.

DXN entered the Philippines market.

2000
Became the first Malaysian Lingzhi farm to receive ISO 14001 certification.
DCN Network Sdn. Bhd. (a company with 18 years of MLM expertise) joined DXN. With this, DXN`s line of products became more complete.
Started its operation in Australia, India, New Zealand and Laos.

2001
Became among the first batch of Malaysian companies to receive a three-year consecutive Network Marketing licence. This demonstrated the stability and operations of the company as recognized by the Malaysian authorities.

Built a new factory costing millions of Ringgit to cope up with local and international demand. This brought total investments in both factories and farm to exceed RM 40 million.

Our founder, Dato´ Dr. Lim Siow Jin received BKM Award from the Sultan of Kedah. Also received Top-10 outstanding Chinese Youth Award from the Youth Association of Kedah.

Achieved vision 2002. Now we have penetrated into 25 countries, with monthly sales exceeding RM60 million and more than 2 million distributors worldwide.

Entered the markets in Cyprus, South Africa, USA, Taiwan, Germany, Switzerland, Dubai, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Nepal.

2002
DXN´s founder, CEO Dato´ Dr. Lim Siow Jin won three international awards - Doctorate in Science (Alternative Medicines), Millennium Award, and Albert Schweitzer Award. Dato´ Dr. Lim also received DSM Award from the Yang Dipertua Negeri Melaka during an investiture ceremony in conjunction with the latter`s 77th birthday. In the same year, Dato´ Dr. Lim was named as Physician of the New Millennium by the Canada Alternative Medicines Research Institute. He also received the Certificate of Appointment as Senior Visiting Professor (Natural Healing & Ganotherapy) from the Open International University for Alternative Medicines and Certificate of Fellowship from the World Health, Environment and Peace Foundation.

2003
DXN started its operations in Mexico and Canada.
DXN Holdings Bhd. was successfully listed on the Main Board of Bursa Malaysia on 30 September 2003. This marks a significant milestone in the long development of DXN.

Established in 1993, DXN has entered its 10th year of operation. More than 2,000 local and foreign distributors participated in its 10th Anniversary and Aidilfitri Celebrations on 6 December 2003 to witness the company´s glorious and significant achievements for the past 10 years.

DXN celebrated its 11th Annual Anniversary on 4 December 2004 at DXN Farm and Factory. Over 2,000 DXN business partners participated in the celebration.

2005
DXN Holdings Bhd. won the 3rd Asia Pacific International Honesty Enterprise - Keris Award 2004 on 16 January 2005. Companies with good industry credibility were selected as winners and commended for its vision and mission, innovation and strategies, human and resources management, operation efficiency, and products.

DXN Holdings Bhd.`s subsidiary, PT Daxen Indonesia became an official member of APSKI (Asosiasi Pengusaha Suplemen Kesehatan Indonesia) in January 2005. This membership has indeed further consolidated DXN`s position in the international corporate arena.

DXN International Private Limited (Philippines) was chosen as the "Most Outstanding Multi-Level Marketing (MLM) Company" by the Awards and Recognition Association of the Philippines and BIZ Business Today Magazine during the "2004 Buyer´s Choice Awards" ceremonies.

DXN International Private Limited (Philippines) was recognized as the "Top Innovative Marketing Company of the Year" conferred by the Year-ender Excellence Awards Committee and the National Consumer Affairs Foundation of the Philippines during the "2004 Year-Ender Excellence Awardee".

2006
On 17 July 2006, the Laboratory Department of DXN Holdings Bhd. received MS ISO/IEC 17025 Certificate of Accreditation for its technical competence, defined scope and operation of a laboratory quality management system.

From 26 October 2006 - 4 November 2006, DXN Marketing Sdn. Bhd. held its first ever International Travel Seminar to Western Europe, to reward outstanding DXN distributors who achieved exceptional status in their business endeavor.

2007
Multimedia Development Corporation Sdn. Bhd. (MDEC) recognized DXN Solutions Sdn. Bhd., a subsidiary of DXN Holdings Bhd., as a company with the Multimedia Super Corridor (MSC) status, thus entitled to the benefits as stated in the MSC Bill of Guarantees.

DXN Holdings Bhd. again won the 5th Asia Pacific International Honesty Enterprise - Keris Award 2006 on 17 January 2007. DXN was lauded for its vision and mission, innovation and strategies, management of human resources, operations efficiency, and research and technology for production of quality products.

DXN Holdings Bhd. successfully entered the Kenya market. DXN Kenya was officially launched in Nairobi, Kenya on 25th February 2007.

DXN has been selected as the "MOST OUTSTANDING PARTICIPANT" in the First Direct Selling Festival (Middle East) held at Jumeirah Beach Hotel, Dubai from 17th to 18th May 2008.

DXN has officially launched its main stockist in Mongolia on 2nd July 2008 by setting up its first main stockist in Ulaanbaatar.

DXN´s Director, Dato´ Seri Tunku Abdul Hamid Thani Ibni Almarhum Sultan Badlishah was conferred the Darjah Seri Setia Sultan Abdul Halim Mu´adzam Shah Yang Amat Dihormati (SHMS), which carries the title Dato´ Dato´ Seri DiRaja in conjunction with the Kedah Sultan´s Golden Jubilee celebration.
DXN has successfully set up a new branch in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The new branch was inaugurated by Mr. Hidayat Abdul Hamed of the Council General of Malaysia and Mr. Amran Bin Yem of the Trade Commissioner on 15th August 2008.
