Church of the Holy Name of Jesus - Sanctuary of Praise

The Church of the Holy of Jesus - Sanctuary of Praise, is a body of believer ordained of the Lord with a strong belief that ministry should be effective and should achieve what God wants to accomplish. In February 14, 1993 the Sanctuary started to congregate with a handful of people at the residence of the Rev. Larry Montejo, Jr. the same place where the Sanctuary is now located at Lawaan II, Talisay City, Cebu. The Pastor has in mind mission, vision and strategies for ministry as indicated in his preaching and teaching, and in his one on one sharing to the members.

In the year 2001 it was duly registered under the name Church of Jesus Christ Sanctuary of Praise, Inc. with a purpose to take upper hand when meeting challenges on the near future. And because of the changes, the leadership decided to form a committee of elders being tasked to formulate strategic plan.

The team’s prayer is that the hours spent on planning will bring growth and effective ministry to the church. May God be glorified in and through the Church of Jesus Christ Sanctuary of Praise, Inc.

President and Founder Rev. Dr. Hilario M. Montejo, Jr. was born on October 19, 1947 in Dulapo, Oroquieta City. Being in the ministry for 48 years and still counting, he has accomplished a lot of things. As the youngest evangelist in the early days, he involved himself in outreach programs and was an active Sunday school teacher. He entered Immanuel Bible College later on and pioneered in areas like Pit-os which is in the upper hills of Cebu City, Surigao, Iligan and Cansojong. It is good to note that he ministered in Iligan for 5 years and Cansojong for 13 years. In 1993, he founded Church of Jesus Christ Sanctuary of Praise. During that time, he was an oversight member of Christian Outreach Centre and eventually became the vice-chairman of the movement. His dedication paid off when he was elected national chairman of the same movement and hold the office for 6 fruitful years.
