CBAA Library MSU IIT

A library rich in resources and collections both within and beyond the walls of the library and committed to excellence in service that enables, empowers and encourages life-long learning and globally competitiveness.

HISTORY:

It was on October 10, 1973 when the MSU-Board of Regents approved the offering of the MBA Program under the Institute of Development Management (IDM) as an extension program of the College of Business Administration, MSU, Marawi City.

Simultaneously, a Library was organized. It was situated in one of the rooms in the building where the Post Office and the security office of the Institute. The library in-charge was Mrs. Meles F. Castillano (presently the Institute Librarian).

In consideration of the growing number of students and collections, the library was transferred to the third floor of the engineering building in 1986.

When the Engineering Program expanded, the library room occupied by the Business Administration and Graduate Library (BAGL) was turned over to the College of Engineering. The collection was moved to the third floor of the Main Library.

Finally, in summer of 1998 the College of Business Administration (CBA) prepared a room for the CBA Library and now named as CBAA Library (College of Business Administration and Accountancy). Mrs. Veronica P. Carandang, a licensed and master’s degree holder Librarian manned the Library from 1998 up to the present.

In the year 2014, the institute hired Mr. Jarien G. Galorio, a licensed librarian who was assigned in the same college library.
