INTRODUCTION:

The library has a significant role in supporting the academic programs of the institution. It evaluates, selects, acquires, processes and then makes these learning resources available to the academic community for their teaching, learning and research needs.

Vision:

The University Library and Information Services, as the intellectual center of a leading university, envisions itself to have state-of-the-art facilities and equipment, quality services, relevant and latest learning resources compliant to national and international standards, a haven of scholarly researchers, Bicol studies and with proficient, skilled, Christ-centered library personnel.

Mission:

• To support the academic program and advocacies of the university.
• To support the library users’ pursuit for intellectual growth through relevant, timely and updated information.
• To proactively upgrade and update collections, facilities and services pursuant to accreditation and certification standards

Objectives:

• Provide appropriate facilities and equipment which will create an environment of independent study and learning.
• Acquire, preserve and improve access to information resources that support the academic programs and research.
• Promote the library services and disseminate information about available resources to the community.
• Provide access to information in a variety of formats and location (print, non-print, electronic, databases)
• Optimize cooperative or resource-sharing activities with other information centers to augment library resources.
