HISTORICAL BACKGROUND
It simply supported basic school supplies and paid the school’s authorized contribution of selected students in a public high school and elementary. It started with only 10 beneficiaries. Another 15 students were added in the roster. In school year 2011-2012, forty (40) students have availed of the same benefits. Presently, the same numbers of beneficiaries are now maintained awaiting for the education supports coming from generous people. The program is now likely to have been known by quite many in the barangay for having given school supplies and paid school fees for the identified students. There are many children from the marginalized sector are now seeking the same help availed by the selected beneficiaries.
Much as the program is aimed at helping not just 40 children and their families in the barangay but this is what ACTFREE FARMERS ASSOCIATION can practically assure of at the moment.
